About Dr. Leslie Shock, MD
Dr. Leslie Shock is proud to serve the community she has long called home. A Jefferson City native, she grew up in mid-Missouri actively involved in academics, athletics, and community life. As a student athlete at the University of Missouri, she earned Academic All-American honors as a member of the Mizzou Track and Field team, a reflection of the dedication and discipline that continue to define her career today.

From an early age, Dr. Shock knew she was called to become a physician. Her passion has always centered on helping people feel confident, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin.

Dr. Shock graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with honors in Biology and Economics from the University of Missouri. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of her academic excellence and leadership.

She then completed six years of rigorous training in an Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Missouri. Through an apprenticeship style training model, Dr. Shock had the opportunity to train under a former President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and gain extensive experience across a broad range of plastic surgery disciplines, including breast reconstruction, pediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery, and cosmetic surgery.

Her comprehensive training allows her to approach each patient with both technical expertise and an artistic eye.

A Leader in Plastic Surgery
Dr. Shock has contributed to the advancement of plastic surgery through published research and presentations at leading conferences, including international presentations in Paris, France. She remains committed to staying at the forefront of her field to provide patients with the most advanced and effective techniques available.

Life Beyond the Office
Outside of her practice, Dr. Shock enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. You will often find her cheering on the Missouri Tigers, running or biking local trails, visiting the Lake of the Ozarks, or exploring mid-Missouri’s local restaurants and cafés.
