Eyelid Surgery
Reveal bright beautiful eyes.
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can help address a number of aesthetic and even functional concerns around the eye region, including sagging skin, puffiness, under-eye bags and more. The procedure can be performed on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, depending on your unique needs. During your consultation with Dr. Shock, it is important to discuss your eye health, including your current vision, any history of dry eyes, or past or future eye surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Shock will carefully remove extra eyelid skin, remove or reposition excess fat, and smooth the remaining tissue for a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance – possibly even improving your field of vision! Following surgery, you may have slight bruising that typically improves within a week or two, and stitches that last for less than a week.
